Course Overview

This course is intended for staff to build a strong foundation in Malay pronunciation and articulation. They will build up their competency in speaking and listening; basic conversational skills, grammar and sentence structure for daily use with residents/patients. At the end of the course, participants will be able to converse in simple Malay with residents/patients and their relatives, understand residents’/patients’ concern and answer enquiries.

Nurul Aisyah binte Juferi

    • Bachelor of Arts from the National University of Singapore (2013)
    • Malay language teacher for the inlingua School of Languages since 2014
    • Assistant Manager with the National Arts Council (2015 – 2017)
    • More than 4 years of teaching and other corporate experience with the Health Promotion Board (HPB), SilkAir, Temasek International, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA)

     

Asiah Bte Harun

  • Bachelor of Arts from the University of Singapore (1978)
  • Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA)
  • Part-time Malay language teacher for the inlingua School of Languages since 2016
  • More than 3 years of teaching experience and other corporate experience with the NUS, SilkAir and DBS Bank
  • Conducted the Conversational Malay for Healthcare course organised by the Agency for Integrated Care (AIC) for nursing homes

Course Fees: $501.46 (inclusive of 7% GST)

Prevailing course fee subsidy at 90% for Singaporeans/ PRs and 45% for foreign staff working in
eligible community care organisations.
