Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital (KWSH) has added yet another accolade to its list of achievements! The Hospital is now a proud recipient of the SkillsFuture Employer Award (Gold), which was accorded to her at the SkillsFuture Fellowships & Skillsfuture Employer Awards Ceremony on 22 Nov 22. Presented by President Halimah Yacob, Patron of the Awards and guest of honour with Minister for Education, Mr Chan Chun Sing and Minister of State for Education and Manpower, Ms Gan Siow Huang, were also in attendance, the Award is a prestigious symbol of excellence. It recognises exemplary organisations who are strong advocates of continuous learning at the workplace and are invested in their employees’ skills development, as demonstrated through their staunch support for national manpower and learning initiatives. In the quest for continuous performance improvements, KWSH has constantly placed a heavy emphasis on continuous learning, upskilling and innovation. KWSH is honoured to have attained this significant feat which will distinguish her as an outstanding employer and provide her with a competitive edge in talent attraction and retention. A total of 19 companies received the Gold award and nine companies received the Silver award. Among the the Gold Award recipients for 2022 are OCBC Bank, Prudential Singapore Limited, Resorts World At Sentosa Pte Ltd, Shopee Singapore and Singapore Airlines Limited. A total of 134 employers have been honoured since the introduction of the awards in 2016. KWSH is also the AIC’s appointed Learning Institute and the Hospital is well-placed in developing the right skills and capabilities to enable the Community Care sector to thrive in the face of challenges and seize new opportunities. A range of programmes, training grants, and courses is available for the Community Care staff to upgrade their skills.
