Course Overview

To provide skills and knowledge required by the person in charge of a facility to implement the incident management processes during an emergency incident in a process facility. This course covers the approach, structure, tools, processes, communication methods that can be utilised during an emergency incident.

  • Interpret incident management approach and structure to a certain scope and severity of the emergency.
  • Utilise incident management areas and processes to Implement emergency response strategies.
  • Utilise appropriate communication methods when managing an incident to control all internal and external resources.
  • Control and maintain incident management process to access information on the status of the emergency.

Please Note:

A minimum of 75% attendance will be required for you to complete the programme and receive your certificate.
For Singapore Citizen / Permanent Resident , only SSG funding is available and ranges from 50% – 80% depending on the participant age; designation & whether the company is SME or otherwise.
For Work Pass Holders, 45% funding from AIC is available for foreign staff working in eligible community care organisations.

Target Participants

Staff who are appointment holder of Site Main Controller or Site Incident Controller involved in the management of incidents in the company during an emergency.

10 CPD Points awarded – 8 SDU Points awarded. A Statement of Attainment (SOA) will be awarded to successful participants.

Course Trainers

KWSH is delivering the course in partnership with COSEM Safety & Security Services, a wholly owned subsidiary company of the Co-operative of Singapore Civil Defence Force Employees Ltd (COSEM).  It is managed and staffed by experienced ex-employees of the Singapore Civil Defence Force and other professionals.

Mr Mohammed Shahrul

Mr Shahrul was a former fire fighter with SCDF and has over 10 years experience in training emergency responders in COSEM. His areas of specialisation are fire fighting, rescue, first aid, workplace safety, hazmat responder and incident management. He graduated from the University of Newcastle with Bachelor of Environment and Occupational Health and Safety.

Course Fees: $491.73 (excluding GST)

Prevailing course fee subsidy at 90% for Singaporeans/ PRs and 45% for foreign staff working in eligible community care organisations.
