Quality Assurance for QAC Supervisors

Course Overview

This programme will provide you with the concepts and applications to perform the roles and responsibilities of a Quality Assurance Supervisor (QAC Supervisor) for a Nursing Home (or equivalent). The roles and responsibilities of a QAC Supervisor include:

  1. To monitor, evaluate and review resident safety and clinical quality issues in nursing homes.
  2. To devise and maintain a quality assurance programme for the purposes of evaluating and monitoring
  • the quality and clinical appropriateness of the nursing home service provided to residents; and
  • the procedures and practices of the licensee in relation to the provision of the nursing home service
  1. To identify and evaluate any safety incidents to assess if the quality of the service provided is acceptable.
  2. To identify, develop and monitor the implementation of solutions to rectify and prevent safety incidents from recurring.
  3. To make recommendations to the licensee to improve the quality of the nursing home service.
  4. To ensure that any directives issued by DMS in relation to quality assurance activities are complied with.

COURSE OBJECTIVES / OUTLINE

TRAINING METHODOLOGY

  1. Interactive lectures
  2. Group discussions and sharing
  3. Role Play
  4. Case analysis and discussion

The training curriculum and materials include training objectives, case studies, teaching aids, training slides and assessments (including MCQs).

Additional Information
A minimum of 75% attendance will be required for you to complete the programme and receive your certificate.
Prevailing course fee subsidy at 90% for Singapore Citizens / Permanent Residents and 45% for Work Pass Holders working in eligible community care organisations.

Prevailing course fee subsidy at 90% for Singaporeans/ PRs and 45% for foreign staff working in eligible community care organizations.
