Course Overview

This course is intended for participants who would like to be equipped with the skills/tools to plan and manage projects for their team or organisation.  The course will provide the participants an introduction to project management, focusing on:

  • Understanding what make projects successful
  • How to create a realistic project plan
  • How to manage project from project kick-off to project completion

Target Participants

For care staff who have supervisory and guiding role; and influences workplace/processes eg: Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Senior Therapist/Principle Therapist, Enrolled Nurse, Registered Nurse, Nurse Manager, Nurse Clinician, Nurse Educator, Executive, Senior Executive, Manager, Allied Health Professional.

  • Advanced Diploma in Information Systems & Software Engineering, Ngee Ann Polytechnic (1991)
  • Seven years of MNC experience (1983-1990) with Hewlett Packard, Canon & Seagate in computing
  • Seven years of SME experience (1991-1997) in Project Management and TQM
  • Thirteen years of public sector experience (1997-2013) in Project Management, Quality Management, Organisation Development & Excellence
  • Two years of social sector experience (2013-2015) in Corporate Services (Admin, HR, IT & Finance)
  • Designed and conducted numerous organisational development  interventions and        facilitation across different sectors locally in Singapore and overseas
  • Facilitated numerous board meetings, senior management meetings, strategic  planning meetings and corporate retreats over the last 20 years
  • Co-founded the Facilitators Network in 2004 to upscale the competencies of  facilitators in Singapore and the region
  • Co-authored SPOT on Facilitation in 2011

Course Fees: $558.76 (inclusive of 7% GST)

Prevailing course fee subsidy at 90% for Singaporeans/ PRs and 45% for foreign staff working in eligible community care organisations.
