Course Overview

At the end of this course, participants will be able:
1. Identify the format and purpose of reports
2. Apply principles of research, planning and structuring of information in the report writing process
3. Plan and write a report
4. Identify the different types of information graphics (data diagram)
5. Demonstrate and explain how different infographics can be used to enhance a report

Target Participants

Programme Managers, Programme Co-ordinators, Programme Executives and Case Workers in the Intermediate and Long Term Care (ILTC) sector who may be required to write reports at work.

Ms Joanna Lim

After nearly 15 years of professional experience in the media, consultancy, and healthcare sectors, Joanna decided to move to the education sector in her desire to work with the youths. Currently, she is the Programme Chair for the Diploma in Mass Communication at the School of Management and Communication, Repub-lic Polytechnic. In her role, she leads the team to offer a rigorous programme to train students to become professional, passionate and forward-looking media practitioners. In addition, Joanna also spearheads the Continuing Education Training (CET) aspect for the diploma. She led the launch of the first-ever Spe-cialist Diploma in Communication Strategies for Social Media in 2017, and has expanded the range of CET courses offered to the public, specifically in the areas of digital media marketing, social media performance analytics, and digital story-telling. Passionate about communications, Joanna strongly believes that the ability to communicate (speak, write and listen) effectively is essential, no matter what industry you work in. She also believes that with training, anyone can develop good communication skills that are critical in achieving professional and personal success. Before joining RP, Joanna was with National Healthcare Group Polyclinics working in strategic planning and business development.

Ms Crispina Robert

Crispina Robert is the Assistant Programme Chair with the School of Management and Communication. She graduated with a degree in Political Science (Honours) from the National University of Singapore and a Masters in International Relations from the S Rajaratnam School of International Relations (NTU).

Course Fees: $515.78 (inclusive of 7% GST)

Prevailing course fee subsidy at 90% for Singaporeans/ PRs and 45% for foreign staff working in eligible community care organisations.
