Course Overview

COURSE DESCRIPTION / AIMS

It is targeted at supervisors to equip them with the knowledge and skills of lean improvement and imbue them with the attitude of continuous improvement. Participants will learn the knowledge and tools of LEAN through an interactive workshop where a simulation would be conducted to bring life to the theories.

 

COURSE OBJECTIVES / OUTLINE

LEAN for service processes is a concept to systematically review service processes in order to identify productivity issues and addressing them. In particular LEAN focusses on reducing the “excess” in the form of time wastages. By doing so, overall productivity improves, leading to greater staff and residents/patients satisfaction

 

COURSE OUTLINE

  1. Effectively analyze care or operational processes
  2. Determine productivity issues
  3. Develop LEAN based productivity improvement roadmap
  4. Identify and apply appropriate tools for working on productivity issues
  5. Review productivity improvement

A minimum of 75% attendance will be required for you to complete the programme and receive your certificate.

Ms Soh Say Lim

Associate Lecturer of Parkway College

Ms Soh Say Lim is an associate lecturer in Parkway College with over 30 years of experience. She holds a Master of Business Administration from Curtin, Singapore (1998). Prior to joining Parkway College, she has also worked with Parkway Hospitals Singapore’s parkway operating system, service excellence and quality division. Her area of specialization includes service management and lean management learning and projects. She has also been involved in organizing lean management training workshops for senior leaders and identified HODs, as well as lean learning forums for participants to showcase their projects for learning.

Course Fees: $653.45 (excluding GST)

Prevailing course fee subsidy at 90% for Singaporeans/ PRs and 45% for foreign staff working in eligible community care organisations.
