Course Overview

The symposium strives to create an environment where the Community Care Leaders, Innovation Activists and Process Experts can share ideas and contribute to the National Effort to raise productivity, drive organization’s growth and build organizational capabilities using innovation and technology.
The event will cover 2 Key Themes, 1 Smart Ward Exhibition and 3 Masterclasses as follow:

Theme 1: Delivering Service with Technology and Automation
Key speakers and panelists will share their insights and experience on implementing Technology and Automation to manage and lead their organization for sustainable excellence in the Digital Age.

Theme 2: Enhancing Experience through Service Innovations
Key speakers and panelist will share their perspectives in adopting innovative approaches, transforming people and leveraging advanced technologies to deliver exceptional service innovations in the face of rapid technological development, rising global competition and rapidly ageing population.

1. Showcase of the latest innovative healthcare product and services by various vendors
2. Mock-up of Future Smart Ward
3. Exhibition booths on various funding schemes, consultancy support, management and learning frameworks by Singapore Institute of Technology; Institute for Adult Learning; Great Place to Work Institute; SkillsFuture Singapore and Enterprise Singapore to support various innovation and organization excellence programmes

Lean Thinking Masterclass
Learn the basic principles of Lean Thinking Lean to visualise, analyse, and improve a process that delivers a product or service through lecture and group activities. This Masterclass is delivered by Mr John Sarkis Hamalian, Director and Southeast Asia Representative, LEAN Global Network.

Innovation & Creativity Masterclass
Learn some of the concepts that form the basis of the innovation. This Masterclass has been designed to create an awareness and expose participants to the skills needed for understanding of where/how they can contribute and set them on the journey to being more innovative and creative in delivering their services and/or resolving problems. This Masterclass is delivered by Ms Lim Hong Li, Lead Trainer from the Facilitators Network Singapore.

Communicating Innovation – How it can Make or Break your Bright Idea Masterclass
After many months, you have completed your innovation project and you are ready for launch. Yet after the hard work, you are not getting the desired attention and interest from the public, patients, caregivers and the media. What can you do to surmount these challenges? How can you effectively communicate the benefits of your project to your audience? Learn how you can take your project to the next level using the audience-focused communication technique and tips on developing an angle that will resonate with the media. This Masterclass is delivered by Ms Ai Ling Sim-Devadas, a veteran healthcare communications consultant and trainer from Health Communication Matters. She helps healthcare and community care organisations define and build their healthcare communications strategy and capability.

Course Fees: $128.40 (inclusive of 7% GST)

Prevailing course fee subsidy at 90% for Singaporeans/ PRs and 45% for foreign staff working in eligible community care organisations.
