Course Overview

Value Stream Mapping is a critical tool in Lean thinking that helps to visualise, analyse, and improve a process that delivers a product or service. In this 2-day course, learn the basics of Lean thinking, and how to use a value stream map to identify and eliminate wastes. Through hands-on simulations, you will acquire skills to identify improvement projects to work on, and designing an effective and efficient value stream.

Mr David Leong Yew Hoong

David Leong is based in Singapore Institute of Technology, LTIC (Lean Transformation and Innovation Centre) as Senior Manager. He is working with the team on lean training and project works with the industries, including SMEs. He is a Certified Lean Six     Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB) practitioner and a Certified QMS Lead Auditor for ISO9001. He has more than 16 years of experience practicing & applying Lean methodologies and other improvement tools across mainly in the manufacturing and transportation industries.

Mr Mark Tan Kee Tchuan

Mark Tan is based in Singapore Institute of Technology, LTIC (Lean Transformation and Innovation Centre) as Assistant Director. He is in charge of lean training and project works with the industries, including SMEs. The Centre aims to promote and develop lean practices among local enterprises and drive adoption of lean thinking, culture and mindset.

Prior to joining LTIC, Mark was a Certified Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Black Belt (BB) practitioner mainly with the private sector (across both manufacturing and professional services) for more than 12 years, responsible for both local and regional process improvement initiatives.

Course Fees: $2547.83 (inclusive of 7% GST)

Prevailing course fee subsidy at 90% for Singaporeans/ PRs and 45% for foreign staff working in eligible community care organisations.
