This Workshop was organised by ADA for the Community Care Sector on the 3 Sep 19 and supported by KWSH.
A total of 150 representatives from Community Care Organisations were in attendance for the “The Next Frontier of LEAN & Innovation in Healthcare” Seminar on 22 April 2019. The Seminar was jointly organised by Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital (KWSH), SIT Lean Transformation Innovation Centre and Institute for Adult Learning (IAL). The Seminar aims to create an environment where the Community Care Leaders, LEAN Practitioners and Process Experts can share ideas and contribute to the National Effort to raise productivity, drive organization’s growth and build organizational capabilities as we face the challenges of rapid technological development, rising global competition and ageing population.
The seminar consisted of a series of lectures and panel discussion sessions led by thought leaders and experts in respective fields as well as Community Care leaders from Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital, O’Joy Care Services, Lions Home for the Elders and Pacific Healthcare Nursing Home. Other highlights of the Seminar were the showcase of the Mock-up of Future Smart Ward as well as exhibition booths on various healthcare services; LEAN projects; funding schemes and consultancy services provided by the Singapore Institute of Technology(SIT), SkillsFuture Singapore(SSG), Great Place to Learn Institute and Ageing Asia Pte Ltd. to support innovation, learning and organization excellence initiatives in the healthcare sector.
