Frequently Asked Questions

Below you’ll find answers to some of the most frequently asked questions at Community Training Institute (CTI) on training grants and other matters. We are constantly adding most asked question to this page so if you have a question and don’t see your answer, don’t hesitate to call us at 64221300 or email us at CTI@kwsh.org.sg

If you are already using the AIC Learning Management System (LMS), please register directly in the LMS. Otherwise, you may provide registration details via the course registration template available in the CTI website.

All participants are to be dressed appropriately for the course/workshop.

For courses supported by AIC, course fee subsidies (from AIC) are available for staff working in eligible Community Care organisations. The prevailing course fee subsidy offered by AIC is 90% for Singaporeans/Singapore PRs and 45% for non-Singaporean/non-Singapore PRs. The subsidized course fees are only for employee(s) who is/are hired directly by the organisation under a contract of/for service, in the delivery of services. AIC’s Community Care Training Grant (CCTG) is also available for employees working in eligible Community Care organisations.

In addition, Skillsfuture funding can be tapped for some of the courses where applicable.

Yes, replacement of organisation-sponsored learners is allowed prior to the receipt of email confirmation for the course and subjected to the learner replacing the originally registered learner meeting the eligibility criteria for the course. Any replacement request should be made in writing to CTI before email confirmation has been sent out*. Request for replacement received thereafter will not be considered. Organisation will be charged full course fee and any request for waiver of full course fees will be at CTI’s discretion
*CTI confirms a course about 1-2 weeks before the course commencement date via email notification

For withdrawals, the following conditions apply (except if learner’s withdrawal is due to medical reasons and/or other valid reason supported by medical certificate or other relevant documents):

Before confirmation email* is sent out by CTI, withdrawal from the course is allowed

After confirmation email is sent out by CTI, no withdrawal from the course is allowed and the endorsing organisation or the individual have to pay full 100% course fees to CTI
*CTI confirms a course about 1-2 weeks before the course commencement date via email notification

Request for refund or waiver of full course fees after the receipt of email confirmation from CTI will only be granted on valid grounds such as medical and/or compassionate reasons. The requests must be made in writing to CTI within one (1) week from medical/compassionate leave along with the relevant supporting documents

Request for full course fee waiver on grounds other than that stated above will be solely at CTI’s discretion. In some cases, an administrative charge may be levied instead

The CTI reserves the right to change the date, time and venue, or cancel a course. Every effort, however, will be made to inform you as soon as possible of the change

Full-day course will include a morning and afternoon tea-break. For any course that is half-day, one tea-break will be provided. All meals are in line with the Health Promotion Board’s Healthier Catering Policy.

An e-Certificate will be awarded to the learner upon completion of the AIC’s funded course and will be subjected to the minimum attendance required. The CTI reserves the right to provide additional certificates to the learner for some of the courses.

Learners are eligible for SNB CPE points for some of the Clinical courses.

A Statement of Attainment (SOA) will be awarded to successful participants who have completed the WSQ courses.

Hard copy of course materials will be provided to the learners. All course materials are subjected to the copyright laws. Any other reproduction or distribution, in whatever form and by whatever media, is prohibited without the prior written consent of KWSH/CTI.

Invoice will be sent to the organisations by CTI within 1 week after the completion of the course. Organisation should make payment to CTI upon receiving the invoice. For individual participants, payment is required to be made before the commencement of the course. All prices for the courses are subjected to GST (Goods & Services Tax).

Billing details must be clearly specified such as Billing Organisation, Address, UEN and Contact Person’s details

Mode of Payment:

  • By Cash, NETS or Credit Card which can be made directly at our Business Office
  • By Cheque – crossed and made payable to “Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital”, and mail to: Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital, 705 Serangoon Road, S(328127) and Attention to Finance Department

Please write the invoice/ reference number on the reverse side of the cheque

  • By DBS/POSB iBanking – Please indicate the invoice number/ reference number in the Reference field.

Yes, such arrangement is possible and will be based on the availabilities of our trainers. Funding by AIC will not be affected by such arrangement.

There will be photos taken at the course for publicity purposes. Do inform the trainer should you/your staff do not consent to their photos being taken. Photographs and videos taken during the course/ event may be used for marketing and publicity purposes.

Non-identifiable data may be shared for the purpose of research, service improvement or for any other purpose prescribed or permitted under Singapore law.
